Jesse James Death Monument – St. Joseph, Missouri

DESCRIPTION:
Monument at 1318 Lafayette signifying the spot where the infamous American outlaw Jesse James was shot and killed. To the right is the top of Patee House, where his wife Zerelda stayed after his death. His house was subsequently moved to the Belt Highway and later to its current location on the Patee House grounds.

Outlaw Jesse James Was Killed Here April 3, 1882 by Bob Ford. The House is Now on the Grounds of the Patee House Museum Two Blocks South. This Hill Has Been Lowered More than 50 Feet.

This monument to the death of the infamous outlaw, Jesse James, is located at the original address of his home in St. Joseph, Missouri.
